2014 Loksabha Election Dates

The term of the current Lok Sabha expires June 1. A new House has to be constituted by May 31.Election Commission mandated to complete the election process to the 16th Lok Sabha before May 31.
6 Parliamentary constituencies in first phase.
Nine poll phases from April 7 to May 12 . EC says polling to start on April 7 with six seats.Elections to be held on April 7, 9, 10, 12, 17, 24, 30, May 7 and May 12. Poll For Lok Sabha, Assemblies To Be Held On The Same Day
Followed by April 9 with seven seats.
Fourth date of polling will be 12 April.
Phase 5 Of Polls To Be Held On April 17, Phase 6 On April 24
In nine poll days we will cover entire country. Late date of polling 12 May.
On April 10, 14 states & 92 constituencies will go to poll, 3 states on April 12, 13 states on April 17
April 12: three states 5 seats to go to poll; Counting to be held on May 16 will be over in one day.
Andhra Pradesh will go to polls on 30th April and 7 May.Maharashtra will have three poll day 10th, 17th, 24 April Tripura will have two polls days 7th April and 12th April
Punjab one poll day: 30 April. Rajasthan two poll days: 17 April and 24 April.
Tamil Nadu on 24 April.
Nagaland will have one poll day 9th April.
Bihar will have six poll days 10th April, 17th April, 24th April, 30th April, 7th May and 12th May. Jharkhand will have three poll days 10th,17th, 24th April.
Jammu & Kashmir 10th,17th,24th,30th April,7May Jharkhand 10th,17th,24th April Karnataka 17th April Kerala 10th April.

There are nine lakh 30 thousand polling stations, which  is 12 per cent more than the polling stations in 2009 elections.
Another opportunity will be given for voters to enroll before elections.On March 9, Sunday, voters can get themselves enrolled across country. Review of electoral rolls in booths across the country will be held on 9 March
Photo voter slips will be introduced in these polls.
NOTA will be provided in 2014 General Elections also; appropriate instructions will be issued: poll panel chief.
